Fireworks in the Blue Ridge Mountains

Here is a picture from a part of the fireworks display put on by our private community of Lake Sheila. This was my first attempt at capturing pictures of fireworks. I think some of them turned out nicely.

These pictures were taken with my basic Nikon D40 package using the lens that came with it. I still had the camera on automatic for most of the settings. However, I did turn off the auto focus and the flash.

Back on Utterz

I think my wife's cell phone is causing interference with my mac's WiFi connection. It's been giving me a headache all day. Now that I am back on I can share one of my new geek t-shirts with you. You coders and Star Wars fans will get those one.
